Noelle Kaufmann - For my final project, I decided to do a mixture of a proposal for the University of Michigan not to incorporate AI within the art programs, as well as an informative rundown of AI in art and its history. I wanted to make it not seem like a super severe proposal but more like a way to learn about the consequences of using it within the field of art and the controversies around its incorporation.
This project explores the potential of AI in the gaming industry, inspired by our discussion in Week 6. We discussed examples where AI has improved efficiency and accuracy in various areas. At that time, I was deeply into playing "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom," known for its extensive open-world freedom. I thought about how integrating AI into games could potentially offer even greater freedom than Zelda. This curiosity led me to delve into this topic. Additionally, our classroom discussions about ethical challenges and regulatory boundaries were very enlightening. My analysis of the gaming industry in the slides is a direct affirmation of the content we discussed in class.
